This report is prepared as part of the study of regional development and policy in Europe: contributions for the debate in Latin America. The aim of the study is to review and analyse the latest regional development policy trends in the EU countries, identifying experiences or good practice that could be useful to the Latin American countries. The study was undertaken by a research team from the European Policies Research Centre at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
